In the second half, the Braga players were a bit casual in their approach. They didn’t manage to take advantage of the chances that came their way. The lead of Braga was doubled in the injury time. It was Eder again who set up the goal with a perfect cross. Alan gave the finishing touch with an angular shot into the left hand corner of the net. It was the final nail in the coffin. Just a few seconds later, the final whistle was blown by the referee and Galatasaray lost the match.

Galatasaray’s next match will be a Super Lig encounter against Eskisehirspor K on Saturday.

Galatasaray were coming into the match against Besiktas in a good run of form. They are currently top of the table a few points ahead of second placed Fenerbahce. However, their match against Besiktas was extremely difficult given that Besiktas are coming into the match as the third placed team in the league. However, a goal from former Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo helped put Galatasaray ahead in the match, but they were level in the match once again after Semih Kaya’s goal.

Just when it looked like things were going to finish even between the two clubs, Johan Elmander once again scored in the final few minutes of the match to secure a vital win for Galatasaray. This win means that their lead at the top of the table extends to a massive nine points, although Fenerbahce do have the opportunity to close to the gap when they play later. There are only six games left in the season, and Galatasaray are in a great position to lift the title.
